The Bavarian Regional Library Passau (SB Passau) is located in the historic centre of Passau (Michaeligasse 11). SB Passau items are displayed in the Passau Search Portal under the second tab “Verbundkatalog inkl. Ortsleihverkehr/Fernleihe” (combined catalogue, including local and interlibrary lending). The sought items can be ordered using the new local lending service through the menu item “Bestellen/Vormerken” (order/reserve). Returns must also be brought to the Central Library.
UB users can also register their library card for use at SB Passau: University members should register their CampusCard, non-university members their green library card. Once you have done so, you can borrow media directly from the SB Passau holdings. Please note that the lending conditions of SB Passau may differ from those of UB. The Regional Library also houses the holdings of the Institute of Eastern Bavaria Area Studies (IKON) library. This can be found in the small reading room in the east wing of the building. In the Passau Search Portal, these items have the location code 750 (show all items in the Passau Search Portal) and can be borrowed from the check-out desk of the Regional Library. The loan period for students and residents of Passau and the surrounding area is two weeks; four weeks for University staff.
