Carrels – reading desks in lockable cubicles – are located in all of the five reading rooms.
They are available free of charge for students and primarily for academics without an office to write their dissertation. In exceptional cases, other library users are eligible to apply as well. If interested, please refer to the check-out desk of the respective reading room.
The Law Library and the Nikolakloster reading rooms offer lockable trolleys for storing borrowed items and one's own materials. On application, you may borrow one of these trolleys free of charge for four weeks. Please contact the respective reading room's helpdesk if you are interested.
