Since February 2025, the University Library has had a third fewer student assistants, as student employees in the science support area can only be hired again in April 2025 due to the switch-over of their employment contracts to TV-L. As a result, opening hours in March are reduced compared to the previous year.
The University Library, together with its permanent staff and student assistants, has made great efforts to ensure that opening hours can be offered in February and March that continue to meet the needs of the examination phase and the semester break as well as possible. This was made possible by the dedicated and flexible work of the student assistants at the desks, to whom the University Library is particularly grateful.
Overview of the reading room opening hours. Please note that on Sunday, 23 and 30 March, only the central library will be open.
On Shrove Tuesday, 4 March, our information services will only be available until 12 noon.
