One moment you are diligently writing your current research or term paper, then suddenly your computer crashes. Suddenly you have to worry whether the files can be recovered because you have not saved a backup. These and other horror scenarios can be avoided by handling data responsibly!
The University's Research Data Management Working Group and a working group of the PYREC programme invite students, researchers and anyone interested in an exciting and interactive programme on the topic of research data as part of the international ‘Love Data Week’ on 10 February 2025.
Programme:
Coffee Lecture - Animal Research Data with KADU | 1 p.m. | Central Library Learning Room
Fancy a coffee, biscuits and KADU? In a short lecture, we will explain the most important aspects of research data using the example of our campus cat.
Black Stories (game) on research data management | 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. | Learning Room, Central Library
Strengthening awareness of research data management in a playful way? With ‘Scarytales – Black Stories,’ you will discover the importance of handling research data responsibly.
Just come by and play a round of the scary and educational card game. Each round takes about 10 minutes. You are also welcome to play several rounds (with different stories) or talk to each other and us, the PYREC Fellows, about the stories.
The best stories can win a prize!
